The EPFO circular dated 30th Jan 2024 provides a format for joint requests under Para 26(6) for the employees contributing PF for more than the prescribed limit of INR 15000/- of the EPF Scheme 1952.
- Blanket deemed acceptance for the left employees / deceased employees till 31st Oct 2023 is considered by the EPFO body. No action for those employees as per the defined date of 31st Oct 2023.
- For the existing employees who are contributing PF on Actual wages (above the PF wage ceiling limit) the attached JD is required to be submitted.
- Unfortunately the circular clause iii for existing employee is wrongly mentioned as “will not be required” to be submitted, whereas it is supposed to be for the existing employees the Joint Declaration in the new format is required to be filed immediately.
- For the prospective new joiners contributing above the PF Wage ceiling, the new Para 26_6 JD to be part of the joining kit and it has to be filed to the PF office. Any PF Opted out employee willing to enrol as a PF Member, then the same Joint declaration template to be used.
