The Election Commission of India has notified 23.04.2026 (Thursday) as the poll day for the General Elections to Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly 2026. Hence, the poll day on 23.04.2026 (Thursday) has to be declared as public holiday under section 25

The Government of Kerala are pleased to declare Thursday, the 9th April, 2026, as a Public Holiday for all Public Offices and Educational Institutions in the State in connection with the General Election to the Kerala Legislative Assembly 2026.
