The attached order was issued by the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM), directing the Chief Secretaries of the NCR State Governments and GNCTD.
Section 6 of the order explicitly directs that the measures shall be implemented by all concerned Departments and agencies of the NCR State Governments and GNCTD. This includes:
- State Government and Private Offices: Required to implement the 50% physical attendance and work-from-home mandate across NCT of Delhi and the districts of Gurugram, Faridabad, Sonipat, Ghaziabad, and Gautam Buddh Nagar.
- Local Authorities, Municipal Bodies, and Project Executing Agencies: Responsible for halting dust-generating demolition and outdoor construction activities (including linear public projects like roads, highways, and pipelines) across the entire NCR, while ensuring exempt critical infrastructure (such as railways, metro, hospitals, and national security projects) continues uninterrupted.
The respective state governments may also issue an order/notification with regard to implementing the above.
