Tamil Nadu Covid-19 Guidelines issued for workplaces/industries/factories dt.18.01.2022

The Public Health and Preventive Medicine department in Tamil Nadu has issued guidelines dt.18.01.2022 for workplaces/industries/factories. Highlights are listed below:

  • Screening of staff while entering work place
  • Wearing of mask at all places in the workplace
  • Maintain physical distancing
  • Hand washing/hand sanitation
  • Canteen/Dining area only 50% can occupy the dining hall
  • Transportation – drivers to be screened daily and no crowding in vehicles, periodic disinfection of the vehicle
  • Quarters/Dormitories – Covid Appropriate Behavior to be followed and high-risk contacts to be isolated and tested
  • Vaccination of all staff and family members with 2 doses to be taken as high priority
  • All workplace/industry with staff more than 300 or more than 10,000 sq. ft. to appoint a qualified Health inspector at their own cost for monitoring and coordination
  • Creating awareness about Covid Appropriate Behavior, IEC material to be displayed at the workplace, online training and demonstrations shall be conducted for staff/workers for better compliance of the Covid related protocols.
