The West Bengal Finance Department has notified a revised Professional Tax Schedule vide Notification No. 1407-F.T. dated 18 August 2026.
The revised employee-wise PT slabs range from Nil to ₹208 per month, with the provisions applicable to employees mentioned under SL.1 of Part-A scheduled category in the attached notification which will come to force effective from 01st October 2026.
Accordingly, employers are advised to review the impact on existing PT deductions and ensure necessary payroll/compliance updates before the effective date.
