The Maharashtra Government Circular dated 14 May 2026 issued by the Women and Child Development Department along with the English translation for your reference.
Through the said circular, the Government has authorized various officers to conduct inspections under Section 25 of the POSH Act, 2013 to verify compliance by establishments in Maharashtra. The inspections will cover constitution of the Internal Committee, maintenance of records, annual reporting, POSH policy implementation, complaint redressal mechanism, and other statutory compliances as per the checklist.
Further, any deficiencies observed during inspection may attract penal action under Section 26 of the POSH Act. Hence please review compliances and ensure relevant records and documentation are updated and maintained.
