The Jharkhand Government has declared 23rd February 2026 as a mandatory paid holiday for all establishments falling under the jurisdiction where Municipal Elections are being conducted in a single phase as given below under the respective notified areas of Corporation, Council and Panchayat.
Note : Establishments located in areas of Jharkhand where elections are scheduled must remain closed on the polling day. Additionally, any employee who is a registered voter in an assembly constituency where the election is being held must be granted a paid holiday, as mandated under Section 135(B) of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.
