Punjab grants paid holiday for registered voters in the constituencies of Punjab and few other States/UTs during General Elections

On account of the General Elections to the Lok Sabha the Govt. of Punjab (Dept. of Labour) issued vide notification No. Labour-LabOPSCA/1/2024-2L/214 to grant paid holiday to their employees who are registered voters in the constituencies of Punjab. The notification also extends the paid holiday for voters in these States/UT: Jammu & Kashmir (Udhampur PC), Rajasthan (Ganganagar PC), Haryana (Ambala, Kurukshetra & Sirsa PCs), Himachal Pradesh (Kangra, Hamirpur & Shimla PCs) and Chandigarh (UT) to cast their vote.
