The ESI Corporation had notified Covid19 Relief Scheme last year as a welfare measure for the ESI covered employees under which in case of death of insured person due to Covid19, the eligible dependant family members will be paid periodic payments directly to their bank accounts.
As per the notification dated 1st Apr 2022 the existing minimum eligibility period to avail of this benefit has been reduced from seventy days to thirty-five days.
