Employer Approval removed for Bank Seeding in EPF

As per the EPFO circular dated April 3, 2025, the following key changes have been implemented:

  1. No Requirement to Upload Bank Documents for Claims:
  1. Members will no longer need to upload an image of a cheque leaf, attested bank passbook, or similar documents while filing online advance or final withdrawal, provided the bank account details are linked and verified by the concerned bank/NPCI.
  1. Removal of Employer Approval for Bank KYC Seeding:
  1. Employer approval will no longer be required for seeding bank account details with UAN.
  2. Now, PF members can link their bank accounts on the PF Member Portal without requiring employer attestation.
  3. All bank KYC requests at the employer level will now be auto-approved after verification by the bank/NPCI.

This makes the process faster and more independent for employees. These changes are expected to speed up claim settlements and reduce rejection rates due to document-related issues.
