As per the EPFO circular dated April 3, 2025, the following key changes have been implemented:
- No Requirement to Upload Bank Documents for Claims:
- Members will no longer need to upload an image of a cheque leaf, attested bank passbook, or similar documents while filing online advance or final withdrawal, provided the bank account details are linked and verified by the concerned bank/NPCI.
- Removal of Employer Approval for Bank KYC Seeding:
- Employer approval will no longer be required for seeding bank account details with UAN.
- Now, PF members can link their bank accounts on the PF Member Portal without requiring employer attestation.
- All bank KYC requests at the employer level will now be auto-approved after verification by the bank/NPCI.
This makes the process faster and more independent for employees. These changes are expected to speed up claim settlements and reduce rejection rates due to document-related issues.
